Making a Felt Penguin Ornament

Felt Penguin OrnamentThis cute little penguin is a great ornament for any tree.

Supplies:

  • felt
  • cardboard (food packaging)
  • scissors
  • embroidery floss
  • needle

Steps:

  1. Fold the cardboard in half and draw half of the penguin along the folded edge to create a symmetrical shape. You can either cut out the middle of the body template (for the two-tone body) or draw another template for the white part. Also create a template for the beak and feet. (I used the same shape for both.)

  3. Sew the white part of the body on. Then attach the beak and feet. Create eyes using French knots.
  4. If you want to use these as traditional ornaments you will need to attach a loop of ribbon to the top for hanging them. Have fun!
