For the past 5 years I've thrown an annual Christmas party for a huge group of friends. This year, 4 of those friends are graduating 3 days before the party. I would really like to tie in their graduation party to this Christmas party. Any ideas?

That would be fun. Get the little graduation hats that are like nut cups? or just decorations and put them on the tree for ornaments. You can also use them for a centerpiece to match the tree. Use tassels also, let your creative juices just flow. If you have a graduation picture you can use it with the centerpiece, put some battery lights around garland.
A cake could be ordered or decorated with the Red/Green colors as border. A graduation hat with a picture of the graduate and possibly some type of small decoration like a Christmas tree to accompany it in the corner. Those cakes with pictures are awesome when you order them from Hilander bakery or a bakery in your area that does it. Use his/her graduation picture.
