Homemade Printed Tissue Paper - closeup of tree paperWith just a few supplies, a computer, and a printer it is super easy to make small pieces of custom tissue paper for the holidays!

Supplies:

Homemade Printed Tissue Paper - supplies
 

Steps:

  1. Cut the tissue down into pieces slightly bigger than the piece of cardstock. Most sheets of tissue can be cut into quarters.

  3. If necessary, use an iron to smooth out the sheets of tissue.
  4. Homemade Printed Tissue Paper - iron to smooth out wrinkles
     
  5. Lay the tissue on top of the cardstock. Then fold the edges of the tissue to the backside of the cardstock and tape them down well. Repeat for all 4 sides.
  6. Homemade Printed Tissue Paper - fold over the edges to the back side of the cardstock and tape

  7. Find an image you want to use online and bring it into a program to create an all over pattern. Then load the paper into the printer with the tissue side in the proper direction to be printed on. (NOTE: We brought the tree image into a Google doc, then copied and pasted them all of the document, rotating them as seen below.)

  9. Carefully remove the tape from the tissue to remove it from the cardstock. Then trim away the unprinted edges.

  11. Leave it as a whole sheet or trim it into smaller pieces for a fun design over a solid piece of paper. Have fun!!
