Making Reindeer and Snowman Gift Tags

This year, make Christmas character gift tags and add a fun element to your gifts. The instructions below will show you how to make reindeer and snowman gift tags, but let you imagination run wild. You can make a penguin or Santa gift tag in the same way. This is also a family friendly activity that mom and the kids can do together to make wrapping all those gifts a joy instead of a burden. Whoo-hoo!

  • Artline 210 fineliner black pen
  • standard scissors
  • quick-drying craft glue (such as Bostik Clear)
  • round plastic lid with a diameter of 2.6"

Steps:

Instructions for making the reindeer gift tag:

    1. Use the lid to trace a circle on the white printer paper and one on the brown cardstock. Cut both circles out.
    2. On the circle cut from the white printer paper, use the black pen to write the words "To" and "From" in cursive writing.
    3. Cut a piece of embroidery floss. Fold the floss in half and make a knot at the opposite end. Glue the floss to the back of the white circle to hang the gift tag.
    4. Glue the brown circle to the back of the white circle.
    5. Glue the red eyes and red pompom nose to the gift tag.
    6. Cut a 4.4" piece from the long pipe cleaner, fold it in half and twist each side to form the antlers. Glue it in place.
    7. Cut two ears from the brown cardstock and glue them to the tag.
