Total Time: 15 minutes, drying time excluded

Yield: one Christmas card

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Draw a light pencil frame sized 4.6" x 3.3" on the printer paper. Draw a pencil squiggle Christmas tree inside the frame. Use the Plaid Royal Coat Dimensional Magic to draw over the pencil tree. Allow to dry for at least two hours and then cut out along the pencil frame.
  2. Oh Christmas Tree Card - lightly draw a frame and a squiggle tree on white printer paper

Oh Christmas Tree Card - draw over the tree with Dimensional Magic and allow to dry thoroughly

  3. Dilute the food coloring with water ~ the amount of water used will have an effect of the depth of color you will see when painting. Apply different colors to the piece of paper with the tree, allowing the colors to interflow. While the food coloring is still wet, add salt to some painted areas around the tree, and let it dry thoroughly.
  4. Oh Christmas Tree Card - mix food coloring with water and paint around the tree, allowing color to intermingle, add salt to some areas and allow to dry

  8. Oh Christmas Tree Card - make green cardstock card and glue handmade tissue paper to front
