Plate of red cookies.A festive red cookie for the holidays and they taste great. My 6 year old really had fun crushing the candy canes in a Ziploc bag with a rolling pin :)

Ingredients:

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Melt butter and set aside to cool.
  3. Mix cooled butter, cake mix, eggs, and peppermint extract. Add crushed candy canes and stir.
  4. Mix powdered sugar and cornstarch in a bowl.
  5. Roll balls of dough in powdered sugar mixture and place on a baking sheet, leaving space for cookies to spread.
  6. Bake for 9 minutes. Cookies are best served warm.
