Hanging Christmas Lights Without A Ladder

Using a stick to hang Christmas lights on the house.
If you are lucky enough to have Christmas light hooks installed by the previous owner, you too can improvise in the absence of an extension ladder. Follow the tip on this page to make a quick pole that will reach the existing hooks and aid in inexpensively hanging lights on your home.

Using a stick to hang Christmas lights on the house. We don't have an extension ladder, just a standard ladder and we're not really looking to spend $100's on the extension ladder just to hang Christmas lights. Luckily our home has hooks already in place from the previous owners.

We were able to improvise with standard wood piece we had at home (.5 x 1.5 x 5ft) and using staple gun, staple two areas pictured below.

Using a standard ladder or even a step stool, we were able to hang our Christmas lights easily!

A long stick and a stapler.
