Making a Paper Plate Ornament

Total Time: Varies on child

Supplies:

• foam plate (or paper plate)
• markers/paint stick
• hot glue
• stickers
• pipe cleaners

Steps:

1. Use a foam or paper plate, cut out a circle. Have your child decorate circle (to resemble ornament.)

 
2. They'll be able to do any creation they want. My son cut strips of foam to resemble a Christmas tree and topped it off with a sticker star. The hot glue green is the base he says.

 
3. He used a scrap piece of a sticker to cut a square for the ornament cap.

4. He finished it off with pipe cleaner bent as an ornament hanger and secured that with tape. I wrote JOY. His ornament is ready to hang on the tree!
