Plan Craft Activities Instead of Christmas Gifts

Our children are grown and most have children of their own. Due to locations, the kids don't see their nieces and nephews often enough to know what sizes they wear or what new fad they are crazy about, so buying gifts for them is somewhat difficult. Since everyone is going to be together on Boxing Day this year to make a full day and night of it, we have come up with an idea to make gift giving much easier. Each adult or couple is responsible for a craft for all the children to make.

They must bring all the necessary supplies and run the craft project. Not only will this create hours of fun for the kids, but keep them busy so the other adults will have lots of time to visit. It will be much less expensive for everyone and should it become a tradition, it will give the kids something to look forward to each year. They may even become involved in the preparations.
