Barter For Christmas Gifts

This is really not a new concept, but it really does work. Bartering! Especially for the holidays. My early Christmas present was an antique cedar chest. My husband helped move a china cabinet and for his time, he was able to choose a piece of furniture as payment. We do this all year long for a lot of things. The list is endless of the things we can get for just our time and talents.

In decades past, bartering was pretty much it as far as buying and selling went. Even after money was invented, it was scarce. Frankly, I would rather barter than pay cash. Alas, not possible these days.
