Decorate Plain Brown Paper for Gift Wrapping

For a fun inexpensive way to wrap gifts that the whole family can enjoy, get creative instead of heading for the mall.

One idea is to use cookie cutters or stencils if you have them and then grab some glue sticks or glue in some form. If not, you can mix a thin mixture of flour and water and apply very sparingly with a brush. Once you lay a cookie cutter (this is your pattern) apply some glue or paste and sprinkle on some sparkles, cut-outs from coloring books that the kids have colored and allow to dry.

I save the heavy brown packaging paper from shipments that I receive. The kids love to color and decorate the sheets. They are very large, clean, durable and can be used for a number of things. I sometimes iron them lightly.

Once these are completed they can of course be cut, and used to wrap anything. They are much more durable than regular paper, free, and they also create memories!

Thanks for listening!
