Lights Keep Going Out on Christmas Tree?

We saw the note about fixing the white socket tiny light for the section on our tree, mid-level, but our light socket gets really hot after about 1 hr. and all the lights go out. We have to replace the fuse near the plug each time for the tree to turn on again. Any suggestions? Our 12 foot tree is about 5 years old.

I would check for overloading the circuit on these lights. An overloaded circuit can cause the fuse to burn out. This happens often on these type of trees. One company who sells tree light and pre-lit Christmas trees has a lot of helpful hints to help you out.
