Make Reindeer Food For Christmas Eve

Materials

  • 1 cup of oatmeal
  • 1 Tbsp. of brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

Mix carefully. Add a dash of glitter just before spreading on front lawn on Christmas Eve. The glitter will sparkle under the moonlight and will catch the eye of the reindeer. This makes a great quick snack for the reindeer, while they are waiting for Santa to return to his sleigh.

I've heard that the glitter might not be good for wildlife if ingested. (After all, you're mixing glitter with oats and sugar, one would assume that something would try to eat it.)

I've also heard that colored sugar or edible "glitter sugar" can be substituted for craft glitter and would be safer for our non-human neighbors. Just a thought. (12/01/2008)

I had the same thought as Clueless did about the glitter. It probably should be omitted. (12/03/2008)
