Reindeer Food (Not Edibile)

A cute idea for preschool aged children is to mix up a batch of "reindeer food". My children helped me mix oatmeal and glitter, and we put it into little bags to pass out to their friends at preschool. I attached a little card, telling the children to sprinkle it on their porch on Christmas Eve for Santa's reindeer to snack on. You might want to add that it is only for reindeer to eat, not children!

Reindeer food

Glitter is highly toxic to birds. You can use colored sugar and get the same result. (12/20/2005)
