Rings from twist off lids like those on salad dressing jars can be covered in green pipe cleaners with a tiny bow on top to make Christmas tree ornaments.

Approximate Time: Depends on age of child

Supplies:

  • Plastic ring from a twist off lid
  • Fuzzy green pipe cleaner
  • Tiny red bow, either purchased or hand tied from scrap of ribbon

Instructions:

Completely cover the plastic ring by winding the pipe cleaner around and around it. Glue a tiny bow to the place where the ends of the pipe cleaner meet.

These are cute. I will have to make some with my daughter and the neighbor kids, and share the idea with her art teacher. Kids will have fun making these. Thanks for sharing.

These are cute! Great idea! Also adding beads for ornaments gives them more sparkle. Thanks!
