Remember Your Neighbors

Remember your elderly or just alone neighbors who might not have family with a few Christmas goodies, or, better yet, an invite to join your family for Christmas morning or dinner.

I just made some homemade kahlua that I put in small, pretty bottles with pretty labels. I called my neighbors ahead of time to make sure they're okay with drinking and then delivered them.

It's good with half & half or cream, or even whole milk. Or in coffee or poured over ice cream.

I used a 5th of Jim Beam bourbon to make the liqueur, and I got it by trading my son a package of toilet paper. I use the Frugal Gourmet's recipe.
