Silver Post Medal for All Time! 297 Posts

For an inexpensive Christmas tree skirt, buy a knee length secondhand ladies skirt. Just select one in the appropriate color you desire.

Great idea! keeping in mind the skirt should be a very full (full-circle) skirt in order to use in this way. The broom stick skirts may not even be cut full circle anymore, so be sure if you are purchasing specifically for this purpose that it will work for you. One that is not quite full-circle could still work but it will be bunched up around the base of the tree, depending on the fullness.

You know, Ducky, just about anything could be made to work as a tree skirt. We've used sheets, blankets, just about anything to hide the tree stand.

Even a felt or fleece shawl can work, if it's big enough. However, if you do purchase, try thrift shops first. Merry Christmas!
